Sorry, Wrong Number..blab..blab...blob!

While hosting movie night a friend informed me that someone was leaving a message on our answering machine.  Not wanting to be rude to my guests, I tried calling our answering machine from my cell so we could continue our outside chatting.  No messages could be retrieved.
Later in the evening, I came inside thinking I'd better check the machine again because someone might have needed directions.  No message.  Knowing we do not have caller ID, I decided to Star69.  It worked great!  It repeated back my own cell phone number...  I paid to have the recording tell me my own number.  That's just wrong.

We never did find out who was trying to call, so if it was you, you owe me 50 cents.

Also, my daddy, aka Pappy Moo, learned we were starting a blog before I got a chance to tell him.   He will not be accompanying us on our trip to China and this will allow him to keep updated on our daily adventures.  That evening, he mentioned to my mother about the blog, informing her that we "had started a Blab.  Blob.  Thing."  He summed it up just about right. Blab, blab, blab about things.  Not sure where the blob fits in, but as time goes by I have a sneaking suspicion that it'll surface.

That's a wrap!

Well, we crammed it all in one day!  Field day started out really cold, but heated up a lot when the parents and staff took on Tug-of-War!  Yeah, I know, it supposed to be a day for the kids, but let me tell you, there's sweet victory to be had by team #2<---Yeah, that's my team!

The kids raced, jumped, and bounced the day away!  The sun even came out in the afternoon which was a relief for our Annual Movie Night!  Nearly 90 people showed up to see the outdoor movie and about 23, 682, 411 calories were consumed at the "concession"!  After a day filled with active sports, ball games, trampolines, and playgrounds, it's hard to believe they were awake enough to watch the movie!  Not much to anyone's surprise the voting brought "Bolt" onto the big screen once again!  Then real bolts of lightning brought an abrupt end to our wonderful evening!  What a day~Can't wait for next year!  Anyone up for some more popcorn?

Employment rate goes up!

So I think I may be employed at Best Buy?  I am now versed enough in digital cameras  after spending a few hours scrutinizing the ones they had that I'm pretty sure I'm collecting a paycheck or at least I should be.  Probably not enough to cover the cost of the new camera, however.  I'd love to post a picture of the winner~a canon~but that's like looking into your own eyeballs or licking your elbows, so just use your imagination about how awesome this new camera is.  I'm thinking about naming it Gertie?

And so I'm also packing for our big trip daily.  Hurdling suitcases has become a daily routine around here and still, there are not clothes packed for me.  SD and SG are packed and it took 15 minutes.  And they decided on 4 outfits.  Okay, now I know we talked about 4 outfits, but I thought we were joking.  Proving that not all Americans overpack is mighty hard coming from an American who does overpack.  Again, something like licking elbows?

I haven't even decided on shoes.  I own some knock off Crocs that are a blinding purple with little flowers poking up in the holes.  I'm thinking pretend Crocs and my tennis shoes will be great, but will my bright purple shoes scare people?  Maybe.  So I travel from store to store today looking for practical shoes, but all I found was plastic, backless, high heels, and "hey I'm ugly".  Finally Kmart~found some (okay...) shoes but the girl didn't believe they were on sale until I brought the entire display sign to the register.   So, I'm thinking, I'm now employed at Kmart too.  I can't handle two jobs.

I'm taking the camera and going barefoot.

Gotta Start Somewhere!

Once upon a time~because every great story starts this way~ there was an awesome family. Okay, it's us, but hey its the internet, so the possibilities are endless!  Besides we need to conceal our super identities.  We know you all are familiar with Super Daddy and his wife Happiness Woman.  Perhaps you've even seen us in full costume!  Don't all parents own capes, antennas, and rainbow umbrellas that shoot happiness to unsuspecting victims?  Well, we certainly do.  We assume you are not surprised!

Our imaginative approach to life has rubbed off on our offspring, Supergus, too!  He's anxiously awaiting his superhero sister to join this family as well!  And what better time to answer the question "to blog or not to blog" than now, as we've begun our countdown to the journey of a lifetime? (otherwise known as "Operation Cupcake".)

Our identities will remain confidential throughout this blog.

So here's to happy blogging!  Keep in touch and see how this epidemic of contagious joy and recording family memories continues from one continent to another!
